Hello guys. I am planning on getting a rtc tomorrow. It will be about 2-3" I want to get one of those 1100 gallon 10 foot diameter ponds from target for 75$ to house one of these beasts for life. Now theres no basements here in South Florida, and I can't convince my parents to allow a pool inside the house, so this is gong to go outside. Heating shouldn't be a problem, the lowest it ever gets is 60 for a day or 2 here in the winter, so i was planning on just leaving the pond 1/2 or 2/3 of the depth, too have less water to heat, and put a couple thousand watts in it. My question is; Can a rtc withstand the south Florida heat? In the amazon it gets much hotter then here and for a longer period of time, so i think it will be fine. It usually never gets to 90 here, so it going to probably top out in the high eighties. When it gets hotter I was planning on running a few bubblers or powerheads to increase the oxygen level.
Thanks in advance.
