Yes... I say this because it's swimming around and not sulking at the bottom of the tank with cloudy eyes and a bloated belly

I voted "No" he doesn't look unhealthy.. LOL

He does look a bit skinny though

Probably because they aren't feeding him proper so he doesn't grow huge too fast before getting sold.. It's not a super bad thing to do, he's kinda like a fit RTC

I was kinda worried that he/she looked skinny to me.
I've already bought the fish, just waiting to come back from vacation to go collect it @ the LFS

You will see what I mean when you get it home itll eat like a monster and thick and grow a bit!

Congrats on the pickup. Etc are great fish. He looks healthy enough but skinny. Make sure to feed him market shrimp from the store as the red pigments will make his tail bright red. Also I would hand fees him to get him used to you. You can start by sticking the good right in front of his face then eventually he will get going once food touches the water. Just make sure you have a long term plan as they get HUGE. If you don't feed them TOO much then they can grow slower. Congrats again

I actually had a RTC that I bought at a ver small size, it died sometime in last year, while I was away on vacation and the in-laws were supposed to look after it (yes, I did leave strict instructions, that were not followed)
