RTC night colors

Hello Fam.

My lil buddy "porky" 7" RTC had his for about 4-5 months already. ive noticed sometimes in the middle of the night he turn gray. normally he is a dark gray to black all day long.

never really paid attention at 1 am. lol

any one ever noticed? no info online either ive looked.

Yup was a little over 4" when I brought him home.
He was a rescue. "did I say something wrong?"

Do you have any input on the topic though cause I'm very interested.

I think he need a little diet myself
No fear. loves to swim prob cause he is alway hungry.
Market shrimp, krill, feeders, talapia chunks.

Noticed he turn almost gray in the middle of the night

I think this is perfectly normal for many fish - my piraiba's color changes alot at night or when the lights are off.

The only time I will worry about rtc is when it won't eat
