My RTC goes crazy over pellets and sometimes eats the rocks too. He usually spits them out but i'm pretty sure he's swallowed at least one. How can I get him to regurgitate it?

he'll pass it on his own. mine used to eat them all the time but they was just gravel so they came out later on there own. he just coughed them up one day.

take out the gravel though.

A varied diet is key.

Don't worry about the pebbles, mine ate a large river rock, but coughed it up the next day. RTC's have a tendency of doing such things.

+1 for the black sand. It looks really nice with catfish. If not I would go bare bottom. A bare bottom tank can look nice and be easier to clean. What you can do is paint or put something in the bottom on the tank to make it look like there is substrate so you are not just looking at plain glass.:)
