RTC question

I just picked up a baby rtc hes probably about 3 " long. He loves hiding though....never swims around...do they eventually come out? Ive had him for maybe a month now hes probably almost 4". Hes in a 125 for now...just wondering if he will get out at all. Thanks

ya im getting a rtc and i just keep my tank of hiding places so i can see all of my fish

they hide when they are small but they grow out hiding spots quick

Scarycakes, that was a good question because mine is doing the exact same thing.

when it get 5"-10" it should stay out more often then not

Mine hid as long as I could find things for him to hide in! When he got to twelve inches, I got tired of trying to find bigger pieces of pipe, so now he's out in the open, but he still stays near the walls of the pond unless it's feeding time or dark.

Mine hid most of the time at that size. only come out to eat. As they grow they get brave and start exploring the tank. Nothing to worry about.

I'm in the same spot at the moment i have one roughly the same size and he spends most of his time in one area where he feels secure. Most of my bigger ones have been active though.
