IN YOUR HEAD
i have 3 15" tsns i want another rtc to replace my old one that died...if i found a 5" rtc could it go with the 3 larger tsns? i have a 6" yellow bullhead in there also that the tsns don't mess with but i think that is because of the spines...should i have the rtc in a grow out before introducing it to the group?...i also was thinking about another hybrid of the 2 to replace my old one in the same size....thanx

Not familiar with the TSN behavior to smaller cats. I have a 15 inch giraffe cat with a 5-6 inch RTC, and the are buddies. Even if you played it safe and put it it a grow out, they grow pretty quick so it wouldn't be long til you put them all together. :)

my old tsn ate a gar about half his size, so i'd be hesitant to put in the rtc.

i hope you have one heck of a tank for all these beasts.

^^ Yep. This has pretty much been my experience with my TSN and my RTCxTSN. I think he'd just end up a feeder. Besides, why not try to adopt one that needs a good home if you have the room?

that was what i was afraid of...and as for the adoption i plan to and i have all the lfs around me ready to call me if anyone has any big cats that need good homes...and my friend works at an lfs that sells tsns and most people that buy them from them have no clue and he tells them every thing that he knows and that i have told him about big cats and if they still are going to buy it that when it out grows their abilitys that i will take them in, but he waits to tell them that i will take them till they are taking it and it is in the bag...i told him to do it that way so they don't think "oh i can just dump it on that guy when i am bored with it"...also when my "final" big cat pond is done i plan to put in my sig that i will take cats from the MN area...but i will wait till the pond is done so i don't overload myself...i am currently in the process of getting a 86" across round stock tank that is 24" high (about diamiter of 7')to house them...until i make my bigger cat pond with atleast 10'x6'x2.5'...

i was thinking about waiting till my said stock tank was he so the tsns could go in that and i could use my 72"x24"x24" to grow them out in...

i have my tsns with a 14-15" gar and i also have a 6" bullhead...the bullhead is why i thought about mixing as it is only 6"...when i got my old one i had a 13" rtcxtsn that it was with from 4" and the only trouble from it was that my aro tried to eat it when i first put it in at 2"...my aro was successful in eatting a 4" tsn though...and now that i statr thinking... hell my gar loves to eat baby bullheads and has eatten a 4" yellow bullhead so i will def. wait till a grow out is ready....aswell as adopt i have taken a 10" jd and a 7-8" rbpacu already....
