rtc question

I am putting together a list of fish to purchase from tfd. They sell three diffrect kinds of rtc. (south american, wild, and asian). I was hoping someone knew the diffrence. Size, looks, anything like that. Thank you

If you dont have a HIGE tank or pond, dont get any! Im serious, they get 4-6 feet long, and in my opinion should not be housed in aquaria.

asain redtales are from asia and way different than a SA red tail asians are mean as heck and will most likely not be able to be kept with anything else...

oh and the wild is just a wild SA so its the same but not captive bred

ok, thanks for all the replys, that cleared it up for me, i dont have a pond, and sorta figured they were all sorta the same. Thanks again for the quick replys, no rtc for me

Out of those three, if you did have a pond, you would want to go with the Captive SA RTC i recon. But either way, wild or captive, SA RTC are rewarding fish to own if you have the space and resources!
