i just noticed my RTC is shedding his slime coat it seems to be coming off mostley around his head but he whent back in to hideing and i cant seem him now, i read that it might be due to water qualitey and i just did a fairly large WC afew hours ago could that be why hes doing it?

yeah,, somtimes when i do 80percent water change i does just that. (i would worry at all it's just natural.) It is due to stress, for the most part of it.
