For the past two week ive noticed that my catfish didn't want to really eat much. At first my silver aro and catfish (only two in the 240 gallon) didn't want to eat. Silver was hungry and would take food but spit it out. Catfish wouldn't even bother.

Checked water, charge a lot of water serveal times, cleaned/upgraded filter, checked carbon. The most recent change was the removal of my UV sterilizer because the bulb went out.

It didn't take long for the silver to start eating again. At first he was picky only wanting feeders (which i rarely feed to them) but now he is back to normal eating everything i put in.
The catfish i have only seen him eat just a lil bit. Doesn't want to take anything down. He has been swimming around, normally or maybe even more so.

There is no physical change in the catfish. He swims near the top of the tank a lot more often then he used to.

Since the silver is acting normal im not sure what it can be. Maybe the cat is out growing the tank? Maybe i need to furnish the tank more?

Any ideas? He isn't acting like he is sick or anything. Just not hungry

try feeding the cat with the light out.

yea just let it adjust for a night with the lights outs for abit and then the next day you should try feeding it with other foods...what have you tried so far to feed it? i noticed when mines was a baby i tried feeding it a cut up pieces of raw shrimp and it took it without hesitation...

He/she is 18+" has been eating shrimp, tilapia, catfish, (mixed with pellets/other stuff) etc. Right now he is in the top corner of my tank swimming at the exact corner. No current or anything there. Just his head, he is going pretty fast too.
