There seems to be a strange redness that has come out on the edges of every white part of him. He has been irritable to say the least including an out right fight with the TSN leaving him badly scared up and with only one wisker left. he has been rubbing himself into the coral sand of the tank.

Tank temp 79F PH 7.8
All the readings on the tank are just fine. ammonia to N3 are zero (added note i run plant filtration along with dual canisters)
This started to show up 5 days ago sense then I have done 2 20% water changes
Appetite progressively dropped off to about half of the norm.

I have an idea as to what i think it is and started to treat the tank accordingly. There is a definite improvement in his nature and the rubbing in the sand has fully stopped. I want to here others ideas just in case I have miss diagnosed the problem.

Give him time, than see if it becomes more serious.

Well what ever it was

To anyone who finds this tread in the future. It cleared up after treating the tank for 5 days with permafix. Another side note is i had not niticed how cludy the tank had become over the last few months. On the 5th day of treat ment the tank turned clistal clear and the primary filter that i had done a change on 2 weaks agoe needed to be cleaned. This doesnt sound that strange tell you realize I only have to change that filter every 2 months.
