oscares are good ones

They end up food eventually though.
I'd have to reccomend pacu, if you have the space.
They are way too tall for even the biggest rtc to eat.

arapaima, (gator!) gars, other big cats such as TSNs, Pacu, big Silver Arowana, in short, huge fishes. . . maybe those that reach at least 2 ft and has the bulk to go with it... i'm not sure about their max size but i heard 4ft or so, and the list of them fishes that might work with them would already tell you about their size!:D merry xmas

Phractocephalus hemioliopterus will reach a length of about 5 feet in the wild and a weight of 120+ lbs.

As for tankmates, anything unaggressive that grows more than 2-3 feet will work. In your heated indoor pond, that is. lol. =)

www.planetcatfish.com hugest RTC in glass aquaria 3ft , 3ft 8inches in pool, wild 4ft5inch
provide 9ft 3ft 2,5ft and you got 3ft RTC in 3-4 years (with ideal conditions)
i find out on yotube some RTC owners who keep them over 7-8years and have 75cm RTC (2.5ft) in 370-400gal
