Alright, I'm sorry if this seems kind of ignorant, but I've done some internet searching and I just can't really seem to find much useful information on RTC teeth other than the fact that they're small and ridge-like. I can't really find any pictures on where they are located in the skull, or if they're any danger to fingers when hand feeding. At the shop I work at someone gave us a 11" RTC that he didn't want anymore, and we have him in our 600g pond with a few larger koi and channel cats. (These serve as expensive feeder fish ;).

I caught a 4ft. in Brazil fishing a night.I was having fun with my in-laws and I stuck one of my fingers in it's mouth and it clamp down on my finger hard.Just from reflex, I pulled it out fast and it ripped the skin right off.Everyone laugh as my finger was bleeding. If I had left the finger in nothing would had happened.

Their teeth are like sandpaper and are towards the front of their mouth. Their "crushers" are towards the back of the mouth.

Mine knows to be gentle when hand feeding, dunno why. If I dump food in the tank he attacks it, if handfeeding he gently takes it from my hand. He also lets me pet his head.

This one is pretty gentle, he always takes the food nicely, but I was just wondering... I figured if I was going to be sticking my fingers into a maw that could swallow my whole hand, I should probably figure out if there was any teeth in there that could ruin my day.

The "crushers" are called pharyngeal teeth and are where the throat starts.
