Hey guys I went to check on my indoor pond and noticed my rtc/tsn is all agitated, I pulled him out and saw this on the poor guys side, any idea what it is? Nothing is in the pond that can harm him like this. I brought him inside and put him into a medication tank. Here's some pics >.< it looks bad and I don't want to have to put the little pup I raised out of his misery, any advice would be awesome!

What's in the pond with him? His fins are all torn up which tells me he's been getting beat up

Literally just 2 decent sizes koi and some feeder fish currently. his fins looked ok after I brought him inside my house it looks like they are starting to wear and tear off just from him swimming, no clue I think it's part of him being sick, his fins seem worse since I put him in my med tank, it even looks like his pectoral fins are doing the damage to his side, he is getting a similar mark on the opposite side just not as bad yet

Yes post water parameters and include Ph and hardness. It looks either ammonia or if not that then Pseudomonas/Aeromonas type infection. Hope for ammonia burn but I don't think you are going to be that lucky.

If there is nothing in the pond that you say can harm the cat then the next thing would be water quality, parasites or something along those lines.

Yeah I would agree it looks like some sort of parasite, gonna do a massive water change on the pond for the koi and as for the hybrid he's i my 55gal by himself with some clean water with some aquarium salt, now I just have to decide what Meds to treat with.

If you post your water perameters including Ph and hardness I'll tell you what to use but I need numbers. Go easy with salt on catfish, no more than 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons. If this is not ammonia related which I don't think it looks like at this point, this would be a bacterial infection not a parasitic infestation. While similar Pseudomonas is gram-negative aerobic and Aeromonas is gram-negative anaerobic. Both can be treated in a similar fashion, however there are slight differances.

Aye i kept the salt to a minimum i just thought what it would feel like to have salt in an open wound and that's all i needed to make myself go easy, but anyway the Water parameters for the pond are as follows.
Temp: 78
PH: 7.3
Ammonia: 0.0
Nitrite: 0.0
Nitrate: 60ppm
GH: 6
