it just dawned on me to ask if this could happen? i was not sure if the hybrid part of the gene would make it a little impossible or if there is really no difference in the breeds and this is something that i will have to look for. i am preparing to put them all in a 1500 gallon pond i made in my basement and just wanted to see. i will have two tsn's two rtc/tsn's one tiger shovel and one Asian red tail.

thanks

You have two things going against you: hybrids are often sterile or have low fertility; to spawn these fish naturally, one needs a river, I'd think, and needs to mimic the seasons. On fish farms these are produced by hormone injections and the squeezing out of milt and roe.

great thank you not really looking to bread them just keep them in a happy home.

Often when hybrids have high fertility and breed you don't get a hybrid. You get a mix. Like 25% rtc, 25% TSN, and %50 hybrid. The hybrid offspring are second gen at that point and differ from the adult hybrids. Genetics get a lil screwy when it comes to breeding hybrids. Very small chance of breeding this hybrid though. Low fertility rates if I remember right.
