RTC/TSN hybrids

I think these are some of the coolest lookin' fish ever. If by some act of God I got a big enough tank/pond, this would be one of my first additions. Anyway...

How big do both TSNs and hybrids get? How much do they generally cost? Are they hard to get? Are either compatible with rays, aros, or big cichlids? Big teeth? Anything in particular I should know?

PS: Man, I feel like a n00b in the fish forums... hahaha
 
Oh and pics anyone? Of TSNs, hybrids, setups, or heck even a plain ol' RTC would be greatly appreciated. :)
 
How much do they run for? I'm in Virginia and the laws probably arent much different, so then I guess it would be easy to get right? I actually dont know of any LFS around here... I used to live in Houston and they had Fish Ranch and this place called Aquarium World which was HUGE! It was about the size of a grocery store and had a tank that I think was 148,000 gallons with epaulette sharks, morays, a friendly whitestripe puffer and who knows what else. Damn was it impressive... They even had a shark touch pond and a huge koi pond with a bridge and waterfall and everything... *sigh*

Hahaha anyway... Wow that thing is a beast! What is it, 3 feet? I thought it would be larger than a RTC. In the reptile world Im familiar with they have 'hybrid vigor'. I know dude with a black throat x white throat monitor female that was bigger than a male of either species. I beleive 7 feet and pushing 60 pounds when a male black throat would only get 6 and about 40 pounds...

It would be nice to know a general price for RTC, TSN, or hybrid :) Excuse the novice lol
 
In this area they tend to run $40-$60 for 2"-4". Sometimes RTC will go as low as $20-$30($30 being more common). I have a lot of cool cat's right now, you should come up for the sale next weekend(Friday, Saturday & Sunday). I know you are going to the Rep. show in Chantilly, but our sales are pretty kick ***!
 
What do you mean by sale? LFS having clearance or something? Ive never been to 'fish exops' if they even have them lol.

But wow I'm surprised at how cheap they are! I was expecting in the thousands hahaha.... *noob* But what can they live/not live with? I would love to intergrade a hybrid or one or the other in a big Amazon-type pond with rays, aros, big cichlids and mabye even a matamata turtle.

OMG I have to get the pics of the monster fish! I work at a nature center and we have 3 american eels, 2 bullheads, snappers, a monster bullfrog, and tons of big bluegill/sunfish... Someone PM me if I dont get them by the 27th!
