:headbang2yep i just got myself one of these :), was in singapore a few days ago and when I saw a full tank of these little guys. Yes i bought one :D.

Now please i dont want this to be a thread whereby i get told how big these fish grow because i already know that ;)

just wanted some opinions on what i can feed the lil fella, he's devoured some guppies today and i got him some sinking pellets which he hasnt learnt to eat. sliced up prawns ect? he lives in a flowerpot in my 50 gall.

Before im asked the future plans fr this guy is he shall reside in my 115 for a while then move to my outdoor pond. I live in a tropical environment , so the cat can reside there his whole life.

Pics up later. :D

Btw in the pond, im going to have a bunch of african cichlids, with rocks ect. It is already builot but i will redesign it prior to moving phill ( thats his name) any advice would be greatly appreciated

well i have a TSN that eats tilapia fellets, shrimp, scallops, and i just stuff them with pellets and now he will take pellets along with anything else that will fit in his mouth... had to do feeders for a little while when he was 2.5 inch... but once he got to 5 or so starting taking the fellets at night... now it doesn't matter what time i feed he stuffs himself full with whatever goes in... goodluck usually it's not hard getting them to feed it's getting them to leave tankmates alone...

haha yep my little guys is around 3 inches. :) im guessing he will destroy tankmates in the near future. the cichlids which are going in the pond are only going just because they can be a good source of food apart from the usuall pellets ect.
thanks for the input.

yep iv got a few, will get them off of my phone and have em up soon :), I'm really attached to this guy and iv not even had him for a week lol

Nice! They are a great fish; I'd start out feeding bloodworms, shrimp, and various fish fillets and then try to wean onto pellets for extra nutrients.

And for in the pond, I think cichlids could work, there's a 4" JD in with my 1' redtail and he doesn't even try to eat him. He's a very mellow cat - never had live feeders either.

these hybrids are so much fun. you can see good pics of my juvie hybrid on page 15 of the thread in my sig

Dragonsong, im going to get him some prawns by this weekend, chopped upo ones work right? and the cichlids will be introduced first to have a breeding thing going on, i will provide some hiding spaces for them but the main point is too be a source of food every once in a while.

matt clark, haha thats the point, my friends pond has been overrun by them so his going to send me a pack of em, he bets that my little guy will never be able to catch one ;)

Jsethcole, I just went to check it out! gorgeous guy you have, how big is he?

Ive realised mine tends to hide in the daylight, i guess its normal since cats are nocturnal right? he's still giving me trouble to try and get a snap shot of him lol . BTW i dont know how to quote multiple times hence my format of answer lol. Thanks for all the input guys
