if its any comfort to u...i have over 3 feet RTCS in my pond which live with considerably smaller TSNS in terms of length and mass...but i guess since they grew up together they never had any problems. maybe a couple of scratches here and there.

YUP......... I have a TSN and RTC together for over a year now with no issues. They get along fine. They stated out at about 3-4" and now close to 20". The only thing I dont like is the way TSN's feed. They are an ambush predator and tend to act the same way in the aquarium. He's very impatient for food and is starting to act quite reckless......darting around the tank like a nut case While my RTC is very mellow and just slowly takes the food from my hand. I am wondering whats going to happen when my TSN gets bigger......It cant be good. I dont think the RTC likes the TSN's attitude during feeding as he usually waits till the TSN is done then comes up for food. I think my RTC would be happier alone.

They should be fine, just make sure the TSN gets it's fair share of food, as the RTC will try and hog it all.

well of course any fish would be happier alone. but its really cute to see the RTC cuddle up with the TSN during the daytime. its as if they sleep together. very cute indeed
