Ok I been doing alot of research on RTC with gill curl and I read it has to do with lack of tank space and bad water quality which confuses me because my water parameters are fine.
Anyhow at first it started with the left side and now both sides have it now. I do 40-50% wc twice a week, use prime to dechlorinate tap water and add aquarium salt each WC. I check my water parameters once a week using API test kits(test kits are barely 1 month old). My test results are almost perfect 0ppm ammonia/0ppm nitrite/20ppm nitrate/PH level is about 7.5(cities tap water has high ph to begin with). Water temperature is at 80-82 F. What gives with the gill curl? The RTC is about 10" and he's currently in a 225g tank filtered by a FX5/Rena Xp4/13watt Uv sterilizer). He's quite active and eats alot but I don't overfeed him. I feed him 2-3 times per week with Silversides and market shrimp. All the other tankmates are fine but the RTC. Can anyone else tell me why the gill curl is happening and getting worse?
