hi i'm new to rays, i've only had mine for a few days, shes great and eating like a pig. the thing is i've also been looking for an rtc for some time now, and i finally found one, here in portugal... can i put the rtc in the ray tank, or do i have to put it in another one? i had to take a big clarias ou of the aqua because it was bothering the ray, but the rtc should be about the same size as the ray....

what do you say? she's with a pangassius sanitwongsei a silver aro a polypterus lapr. a pteropterus, a gobby a chittala and a surubim.... the RTC whould rock !!!

just scared because i never had a ray and everyone says theyr sensible...and the rtc i once had was a bully i had to give it away. not enough space, unlike now:confused:

I had problems with my RTC being way to agressive at feeding time and my rays had been in the tank buy them selfs and doing great and once I added the RTC which was a bit smaller than the rays but the size didn't matter, the RTC still out competed the rays for food and made my rays very pissed of to the point my retics stopped eating. So if i was you I would pass on the RTC.

so the rtc with the ray is a no way... guess i'm gona have to rearange the disposition of the fish...

then i'll probably put it with a big albino clarias, an adult citrinellus, an oscar and if my 80cm pangassius sanitwongsai keeps getting mean with him too, wht do you say then? better?

or should i give it a try and if it doesn't work then change it?

i know the rtc grows pretty fast... but how fast does a retic grow?

i i change the ray instead it could go to my bixir tank, but it's not sand its a third sand, a third river gravel and a third acadama for plants.... whould this be ok for the ray?

if so it whould solve everything:D

as long as its all fine gravel. no sharp edges. i have my rtc with my motoro. and yes, they do compete for food. thats why there both fat! lol

so akadama substract wont hurt my ray for shure?
