Would I be able to put my rtc hybrid with a Tiger Oscar, Fire Eel, and a Black Ghost Knife all together? I have the Oscar and the rtc hybrid together already in my 125 and the hybrid is about 5 inches and the oscar is 3 inches. Just wondering if it would be okay to add the others or would I have to keep them in different tanks?

your hybrid will greatly need a larger tank on it own, i have a hybrid at 32'' long,
they are absolutely massive and mine is at least 10'' wide.
As for compatibility, you hybrid will be fine with everyone other then the eel, That is in a larger tank, your 125 should realistically last your around 1 year, but even still mine needed to come out very quickly around its one year mark, i went to a 240 then to a indoor garage pond,

Yeah I knew someone would say something about the tank size and yes I have a 340 ready for him and I am gathering materials for the indoor pond I am planning to build in the near future. I might put him in the 340 soon and put a rtc and a tsn around the same size as him in as well. If I do that I would probably keep the black ghost knife in and I would be able to get the fire eel then too. Also how long does it take for a Iridescent shark to become full size? I know this isnt the right place to ask but I'm here anyways.

i had supposed you did have a larger tank or pond going :)
My ID shark took 12 months to get to one foot, and i bought it as a baby from a petsmart, they really like smelts or shrimp a lot, but becareful they dont well with other cichlids overall

Well I wouldn't want to put him in a pond just yet because I would hardly be able to see him but I have had my ID with my oscar for about a month and my oscar did kill my dwarf gourami just from beating and biting it but hasnt touched my ID. But I think I am going to move the oscar and the hybrid up to the 340 pretty soon. Also what did you keep your ID in? And I stoped buying fish from petco and pet smart because they were all ugly and beat up and when I got a bala shark from them it was sick and it had this twitch and after a few days with him in the tank they all eventually died a week after him.

sounds good you wont have to worry for a long time with a tank like that, i kept 3 TSN, 2 RTC, 2 North American Channel catfish in a 240 until all hit 12'' so youll have time especially in a tank that sized.
