RTC x TSN help!!!!

hey...im kinda worried about my catfish.....its about 4" ryt now.But the thing is he is swimming to the top of the tank and just stays up their and sometimes swimmings to the bottom....but its not like its a dead floating fish.It was very fine a few minutes ago...but all i did was a 50% water change as a always do every 1-2 weeks.And parameter are normal.But afte i did the water change i add aquarium salt to heal some of my fishes and my RTC x TSN catfishes riped fins from before.....the catfish started to swim up to the surface of the tank.Not to get air.What do you guys think is happening to my poor lil catfish??? do you guys think its just swimming up their to get away from the salt on the top of the sand bed? cuz when i add salt to the tank...the disolved salt kinda hangs on the top till like later in the day or in a few hours...please help me out!!!

your suppose to mix the salt in a cup first, and have it ALL dissolved before adding it. Mine swim everywhere in the tank. I dont really get what you where saying about he swims by the top? Maybe he is hungry, mine get really active when they are hungry for food

well thats what i did in the bucket...i mixed the salt in the bucket then some the disolved salt stays on the surface of the sand.And about him going on the top of the water...he goes like nuts wen the disolved salt is moving around on the surface sand bed on his body.Then he swims ryt to the top and like hangs their like hes dying.And he was fat to the stomach already.

well its ok now i guess,Since he calmy stayed on the sand bed when all the salt was not stayin on top of the bed
