The other day during a routine water change i was thinking about a video i saw on youtube where a rtc x tsn hybrid actually enjoyed brushing past its owner's hand. when i tried this, it actually worked!!! during water changes he gets kinda ancy but he got all calm and placid when i stuck my hand in. so i was wondering why do hybrids enjoy being petted? it really blows my mind

i dont think they are realy into it ,i think they are expecting food to appear from the hand.
my tsn and rtc will both tolerate being touched but im not convinced they get much out of it like a dog for example.

I think that some fish do like it, although you have to be really careful. Norbert, my biggest fire eel (25") swims through my hand so he can sit in it. I have my hand against the glass since my hand doesn't actually go all the way around him, and I don't even move. It's all him. I wouldn't be surprised if my RTCxTSN thought a pat here or there was okay.
