ive had him for 4 days he ate a small piece of shrimp yhat is the only thing he ate all the other food i put in he will try to eat it but then he will spit it back out

As in your sister thread - http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?556580-shovelnose-catfish-not-eating, if the water parameters are good, then just wait. The fact that he is tasting foods and spits out means that he has an appetite (= he is feeling ok) but the diet is new to him. He will come around, they are not fussy. Continue doing what you are doing.
yea he started eating i guess i worry to much if my cats don't eat wish i could say same for my tsn
