How long would a RTC last in a 120g 60x18x26 before moving it to a pond? What is the ideal pond size?

Depends on what size RTC you plan to start with, but if it's a baby you MIGHT get year or so out of that tank. IMO Pond size should probably be MINIMUM dimensions 10' x 5' x 3'-4' (LxWxH) for an "adult". 1200-1500 gallons minimum!

Well in a pinch you COULD get away with a 10LX4WX3D but is not going to be an ideal home for your RTC

Just keep in mind that your 120 is only 18" wide so once your RTC is over that length it really does need a new home... your average RTC will break 18" inside of a year but that is depending on how often you feed, what you feed, water quality and such they can grow faster or slower... but the average will be by it's first birthday it'll be getting a new tank as a gift LOL

6-8 Months from birth size. You look at a 2-3" per month growth rate, times that by, say 7 months and you have a size between 14 and 21".
