probably RTCxMarble catfish also called RTCxJaguar same fish the thing is everyones are dyeing so knowbody knows how big they get but if it has RTC in it it will get pretty big
how fast do rtc grow? because i really want 1 but i only have a 300 gallon tank so im wondering how long it will take to out grow it. If i start it out in a 20 then move to 45 then to 90 then 300, how long will it take till i need bigger tank? the rtc was about 2 inches and they have rtcxtsn hybrid also 2 inches.
Had mine for 9 months and it's a little over 15". Hasn't grown much lately though. it's a rtc x marble.
An RTC alone might be fine in a 300 for a few years, but it would probably eat all of its tankmates.
Just to give you an Idea, My RTC, I've had for 5 mths and has went from 3 1/2" to almost 16"!! he is currently in a 300 but will only make it till late summer early fall in there as the foot print sucks for a 300.
What is the foot print of your tank as that is more important than the gallons it is.
