hey mfker's, got a little problem my rtcand tsn stoped eating krill and prawn's and pellet's for about 3 day's now i dont know what there eating but im trying to stay away from live food the water is good and the temp is 82 there fine otherwise but i know there hungry what could i do as far as food
thank's in advance

drop the temp and check the water parameters, could be too acidic or alkaline for them or too much nitrates??? my temperature on all my tanks including my ray tanks are 25C or 75F ish!!! hope this helps, try worms too, but the size of the fish might help and how long have you had them and have they moved tanks or in same tank?

sound's good the rtc is about 6 1/2 inches and the tsn is about 9-10 inches they grew up together in a 75 gallon and i got them when they were real small like the rtc was less than 2 inche's and the tsn was 2 1/2 iinches i payed 15 for both at a petland and watch themgrow over the three month's or so i love them so much and i hpe their ok can i go and get beefheart from the bucher or is that unheard of?

DO NOT LOWER THE TEMP!!!! krisRTC is :screwy: for keeping rays and S/A Cats in that cool of water and is simply inviting them to get sick and have lower appitites

Keep your water temp where it is and keep up a waterchange everyday 50% and you will notice them get their appitites back quick... something was wrong with the water condidtions for them to BOTH stop eating at the same time... Both are famous for hunger strikes when stressed but for it to happen to both at once it's telling me that there is a real reason for it... perhaps there was a change in the water that corrected itself before you tested for it... sometimes your filter will take awhile to "catch up" to a problem

what he said:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
don't worry that happens to everyone,just make sure that your temperature does not drop or increase,do some water changes and make sure that your cats aren't stress.

aight! what about food? can i get beef heart from the butcher and give it to them or fish from the market any idea's? thank's for all your help!

Most of us find that raw shrimp is the best food for them and is usually the first thing that they will take to when either getting them off a hunger strike or getting them acclimated from live to prepared foods... Pellets arn't good due to price, beef heart isn't good due to fat content and the hormones that most cattle are given, frozen fish is also a good choice but overall will usually cost you more in the long run depending on whats available in your area... and live foods aren't good due to the risk of infection
