Why don't you try taking the pic at an angle so that the flash is reflected away..

thats wat i was trying but my camera died so i need to get batteries today..but also hes not out all the time so its hard to get a good pic..and when hes out he is always moving around..so when i do get one it will be good..and just so u know he ate a 4-5 inch jardini arrowana the other nite
