can RTC be trained to eat floating pellets?
back here we dont hv any sinking pellets, all are floating types,
there is a sinking food but its for shrimp, and it clouds the water easily,
I dont want to spend so much money buying feeder fish or other meaty food,
cheers

the cheapest way i have seen to feed large stomachs is with fillets, and shrimp...if you can catch some fish and qt them that is another way to get cheap food...

well its been a week now, the rtc just wont eat the floating pellets, should i just keep goin with this?i know that if give it meaty food, the rtc will go for it right away, but thts not wot i want to happen

Try feeding some freeze dried krill along with the floating pellets, the shrimp will lure the rtc up to the surface and it should gulp down both.

do they seem to put off an scent trail when in the water. dont worry food will over come starvation, he'll eat

if you just want to feed pellets the pellets will sink after a little while then it should eat them if it doesn't before they sink...all my cats would eat the pellets after they sunk...i still recomend a veried diet though...it will take alot of pellets to fill an rtc's stomach so the money will be alot more then if you do foods that take more space up in the gut...imo
