RTCxTSN ate filter intake!!!

I need some advice I woke up this morning to see that my 16 inch RTCxTSN ate the filter intake off of my rena xp4!!! Any ideas on what to do???

He could throw it up or poop it out.

I am hoping he will puke it up but i doubt it can poop it out....

Are you sure it is no where in the tank? I thought my RTC ate one of my sponges from my sponge filter for the longest time but later found it buried under a rock when I was moving stuff around in the tank.

Just a thought.

oh yeah I'm sure I can see the outline in his stomach.

Then in that case I assume he'll either poop it out or puke it up.

I had a similar problem with my Common Snapping Turtle. I had to take him to the vet.

well I would like to take it to a vet but i don't know of a vet that will work on fish in idaho.

I really am truly sorry about your fish, but I can't help laughing at them. Seriously, why could that possibly seem like a good idea? But, the thing is, you hear about it all the time. Give him a little time to see if he pukes it up (if it goes the other way God help him... its not). GL

You could try squeezing it back up and out if you can actually see the outline in his belly, it might be better than nothing. Sorry about this, what a nightmare!
