hey everyone i just got a rtc x tsn about 3 days hes only about 3-4" so i put him in a my 30g with a 4" bumblebee and about 4 .5" convicts for the time being so he can grow a little an then il put him in the big tank what i was wandering was since i got him hes just stays up in the corner an kinda hides hes not very active and dosent really eat to much i this normal or what should i do? Thank you

best thing you can do is get him in to your big tank. try feed him after a day or 2 but make sure you try at night as thats when they are more active. i would also leave the light off for 2 or 3 days to help with the stress. and dont worry about him trying to hide they tend to do that when small just make sure he has a place to hide. good luck

Agree, mine hid when I first got him at 4-5 inches. Now at the 17-18 inch mark he swims to the surface of the pond to be hand fed.

what would the best bet on food be i know a variety is always good so ive been feeding him pellets flakes krill bloodworms i was actually hoping he would eat a few of the baby convicts in the tank but not yet

get raw market shrimp and smelt and tear them into little pieces, he will eat it like its going out of style and will grow to match.
