RTG and Black/silver aro,does it work?

Hi guys im considering getting either 1 black/1silver or 2 of either to grow up so they can go in with my 21" RTG when we have built the 9x4.5x3,he is in my 180 at the moment but ive got a 4.5x2x2 dat/poly tank they could go in while growing.
How long would the black/silvers be ok for in there before i would have to put them in the 180 and has anybody had experience of putting other aros in with a settled boss of the tank RTG.
The big tank hopefully will be finished summer time.

Get 4 of them and grow them up.

RTG is the most agressive asian. It will be a hard thing to do, but not unheard of. Depends on the tanks size and the RTG's character...

Thanks miguel,he can be a PITA for sure,since i took out my big IT hes definitely in charge as he was before the IT took over,i know you said four but dont think ive got the room for 4 in the little tank,if i got them around 7" would they be ok in the small tank for 6 months?

As miguel said you will have a better chance with higher numbers.
They should be ok for 6 months as long as you do have a plan in place for the future which you do spo I say go for it

Thanks for the reply buddy,i think il get 3 then as soon as we know when the building wil start,id like a mix of black and silver but do they all grow at the same rate,obviously its down to the individual fish but in general?

In my experience silver grow a little faster than black aros..Of course this is in general. A lot depends on the individual specimen.
