Back in action!
Well I think I'm at the crossroads I hoped to never reach. The last few days, I've noticed some split dorsal fins on my pbass and split caudal and anal fins on my RTG. The bass are in the 12-13" range and the RTG is 20". I think I'm going to have to split them up. The bigger bass had a huge scrape along his flank and now one of his pectoral fins is getting shredded.

No one else in the tank has any fin damage and I have not seen them fight, so obviously it's happening at night.

Unless, someone can suggest this is temporary, I'm not going to put my aro or bass at any more risk. :(

Sorry to hear that.....in my opinion ....your RTG is the most beautiful specimen I've seen around , so I wouldn't think twice about selling the bass...get something with a slower growing rate/smaller (like kelberi) so this will not occur again in the future. Good luck whatever you decide.

Thanks for the feedback. I do have another tank I could move them to and I do have some 8" tems I could move into the big tank. Of course I'd be forced with the same decision in the near future with the tems, but a 360 is better than a 120 for the tems. :naughty:

Kelberi would cost a fortune here. I'm not paying 3-400 bucks a piece for fry, lol.
