RTG arowana not well

Hi guys! Im new here in MFK!
I want to share my problem with my aro, my aro is around 12" and they say it has a open gill,then I did the open gill surgery last 2 weeks ago, this is the vid before the operation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV_IXt74UHs . But the curl is inwards,so I'm not sure about the situation, now after 2 weeks,still wont eat and still gasping but atleast 50% less compare in the video. What do you guys think I should do? he is now in 3-4th week of low appetite.
Im very frustrated. ammonia is 0,Ph is 7, and lots of oxygen, 27deg water temp. and I do WC every 3 days, still wont eat.

The RTG look stunted. It's breathing hard.... Not a very good sign to me. Sometime if too much fish stabilizer been used on a fish by user may hurt the gills. Hopefully this is not the case.

thanks koji, but this vid is before the stabilizer. so you think its a gill curl inverted? it just happen after a few weeks the gills begins to shrink.

after the operation it kinda breathe a bit more comfortably, 50%more. but my friend told me that after 2 days from operation he should breathe normally, im wondering it is almost 2 weeks now

You say ammonia is 0. What are you using to test this with ? (test strips ?)
What is your nitrite and nitrate reading ?

What sort and how much bio media do you have ?

hi rhodes! I use API ammonia tester,the liquid drop type.
I never tested my nitate and nitrite (thanks to you,tomorrow ill buy the test kit!)

I use eheim 2217 + 2 bag of siporax.

i have an update rhodes, my nitrite is 0, so I dont know whats d prob..

And what sort of anti chlorine do u use?

80 gal tank then API stresscoat. isnt my arowana in a internal parasite? or no?
