UW! Go Huskies!
I purchased a RTG from a importer here in Quebec and have had him for about a month. About 2 to 3 weeks ago I started to notice it showing some red around most of its scales. It has become more apparent in the last week or so and the entire body appears a pink to red color underneath and around the scales, especially evident on the bottom edge of the anal fin area. It is otherwise healthy and eating very well and about 6". His tank mates are a couple of 3" Datnoids, a 5" Fei Feng, some 4" Clown Loaches and a hand full of endli bichirs; nothing that is aggressive or annoying him. Is this common in RTG's? I've never seen this before, has anyone?

I thought Banjars/1.5's only had red thru the fins and tail...... not the body.

thats looks like a fish that has been fed color enhancing hormones or red meal worms.

what do u feed it?

dude probably thinks his aro gonna turn into a chili red if he continues feeding it the red mealworms. :screwy::screwy:

BTW how the hell do you steal my name without asking first.:screwy::screwy:

You might be right, it might be the red mealworms the guys at the LFS were feeding it.

Are we revisiting this topic again?

Currently on Hikari sticks, Market Shrimp, Black Worms and the occasional meal worms. I'll keep him on this diet and see if the color wears off, it's not a Banjar.
