1200L tank, clown loaches, bichirs, geos, parrot, dat, tt eel, 18 inch RTG and a 15inch CK, 10 inch red hook metynis, 3 spotted metynis, oscar, flagtail, silver dollars, tinfoil barbs were all in one tank.... RTG NEVER agressive.

but when i moved them, i tok away the tinfoils, metynis and oscar out of the tank, flagtail etc, big mid swimmers

suddenly the RTG is chasing the CK when it comes out of hiding.

why is this?
is this cos there are no other big fish in the tank to focus on and so its focusing on the only big think in there? OR did the move and renovation of their home made it agressive?

should i move the tinfoils back?

will do, ill pu tthe tinfoil, oscar in ther. maybe put back the 6 bar, he seems to be trying to chase the tinfoil and oscar wont let him intimidate it..... hes getting confused now with allt he fish in there.

yeah add the tinfoil idk why but my aros focus on fast moving fish

its ok, the oscar, 2tinfoils and big ornate is in there
it seems to now be distracted with the tinfoils and oscar. oscar is bull headed and doesnt back down, while tinfoils can be chased but too fast and agile.

the CK is starting ot venture out more now - but still abit skittish.
i think in time it will get used to the fish and settle down.
i think the aro is settling in and stil feels somewhat defensive and threatened as its not used to the new set up yet....correct me if i am wrong please:D

i will put back the 6 bar distichodus and maybe event he big dat i aso tok out.....
i dont wana put in the red hook metynis but will do if i have to.

opinions?

I was advised to put more fish in my rtg tank as he was just picking the 5daemonfish off one by one and the big gibbiceps and a large gar,but since ive put the tinfoils in and the big dat and the polys, its alot happier tank, yes he still has a go at the tinnys sometimes but it doesnt seem to bother them, basically once he had a go at the daemonfish it would get that stressed and die more or less straight away.
Plus the big dat puts him in his place so hes not the only boss in the tank now lol
