Rtg with bubble face

Hi I just bought a rtg arowana he's 17 inch and 2 years old and he has bubble face mainly around his eyes. I have read a lot about this and I will start treatment by raising temp to 86 and some aquarium salt and do 10 percent water changes daily he was kept in a small tank maybe bad water quality? He's now in a 6 foot tank and I will be watching my parameters closely. Is there some else I could do or shouldn't do I've noticed that a bubble on his cheek has popped. Any advise would be much appreciated here's some picture thank you

i would make sure the water is kept fresh & maybe add aquarium salt & melafix - plenty water changes

Never seen this kind of disease...What is it and what causes it?
