RTGG breeding

Ive got a 15" Red Tailed Giant gourami, more than likely a female and 8-9" one who i reckons a male. I would like to keep them together and try and breed them. Could they mix? Ive had bad results with RTGG and GG, and what do i need to do to breed them? Thanks.

My RTGG seem to be much calmer than other GGs Iv'e had.But they have always been in a group.I would think you need to get more size on your male before trying to breed them.Also how are you determining the sex of your RFGG?

Males are much redder and have a hump like my suspected male, he has a big bump and is very red (i know i need more size on him first)

Well im not gonan mix them for a few week as the male is still healing from my old standard GG, and needs to get a little bigger.
