i have 2 RTGG's, both around 6-7in. how do i sex them? do i go off the hump on there heads like cichlids, i heard that if they have red tails male? also, what are the tenticels for?

If you have a pair you should see a difference in the anal and dorsal fins, the male's are longer and more pointed, this becomes more obvious as they mature but like with most gouramis I need to see them together for comparison. Both males and females get a bit of forehead. Gouramis use the extended fins like feelers.
