hi, some of you may know my SR's unfortunate death, with that, i haven't been keeping aro for the past 6 month, now i'm back again. I love the RTG bought from Cliff, the price was a steal, as he only wanted the aro to have a good home. I am very lucky to have the aro, it brought back my passion for the dragon again. here are the pictures of the aro, the tank, and the big motoro!
the water as you can see is still murky white? could it be the bacteria still developing? i've just switched my external overflow 220g to this internal overflow one, never had murky white water problem before, just had this happen after the tank switch. (3 weeks)
the tank has 17 times the turn over rate with,
the sump in the basement which used to be on a 1020 gallon (4 tanks 220+220+340+240) all runned by this one sump, and water was crystal clear. and 1 fluval fx5 running.
also, just abit added information in regards to the tank murky water problem
i have subtracted the height from basement to the tank, and how much water would the pump be pumping back to the tank, to get the turn over rate, incase some of you may wonder i forgot to do that part
and the fx5 was bought brand new, so there is no bacteria established (i guess)
and also this is just one of my theory towards the murky water problem, please correct me
the reason maybe that since the sump and the tank's height difference is 10ft, maybe while the water is falling, the water gets cooled dramatically, thus the lack of bacteria growth, therefore i shall increase the water temperature? maybe from 81F to 84F ?
the ray has been in the tank for 3 weeks no problem. water condition is perfect also, yet somehow is murky...
any input on the tank water problem would be appreciated, mean while enjoy the pictures!
