It's been 4 days since my female brought out her dry and I'm getting all kinds of mixed opinions on whether to take them out and when.
Also, my female dovii is starting to let her little guys come out...not much, but by tomorrow they should be fully free swimming, too.
I still have 16 8 week old dovii fry that are quickly outgrowing the 20 gallon tank they're in. Fighting over a crumb, normal sibling stuff.
Anyway, opinions would be awesome.
And if anyone would like either fry, just let me know!

What are your plans for the fry, with a breeding pair of dovii and rtm your soon going to be over run with them. I would leave them in for 2 weeks or more, less chance of the male harassing the female to soon.

Its really a matter of preference, and if you wanted you could always do half and half.

If you have the tank space to put them in a separate tank then it is pretty easy to just siphon them all out as soon as they start free swimming. But if you don't really have another tank you could just grab some popcorn and let the parents do all the work.

The half and half idea is cool but then the idea of introducing them all to the same tank later on is slim to none.

My plan is...I have no real plan. I'm more concerned about the rtm fry, honestly. The wolves breed like crazy, but this is the first successful rtm spawn. I'd like to just give them to whomever can care for them properly.

Since this is your first successful spawn with the RTM pair its probably a good idea to at least leave half of the fry with them. This can help to strengthen the bond between your pair.

Will you be posting some videos up of them? This thread has me a bit interested to say the least :)
