Hello All,

I've just recently purchased a 75g aquarium with the intention of putting a Rhom in it. I've done a lot of research and decided I don't want to go down that route (10+ years or so to see full growth). A lot of the fun for me is watching the fish grow and become a beautiful monster. After searching these forums, I've narrowed my selection down to two fish. I'm either going to get an RTM or a Red Devil.

I've heard every fish has a different personality. However, I'm curious what your suggestions would be based on what I'm looking for. I want a fish that will react to me coming in the room and be active/interactive with me (aggression is a good thing). I plan on keeping this fish alone for at least a year or two until I upgrade to a 180 gal and start to take a whack at spawning them.

Anyways, what are your opinions based on what I'm looking for? Red Devil or RTM?

PS: Any recommendations on a place to purchase one of these guys online that will sell me a male <6"?

Thanks,

If you plan on upgrading in a year or two than either one should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have an opinion on which is generally more interactive with their keeper?
Depends on the individual fish parachromis and amphs are both very interactive genus but I would say the red devil from my experience. If I had choose one that I liked better over all I would say RTM.

Just so you know there is a big difference in looks depending on whether you have a male or female. In my opinion the female Mota is the best looking fish hands down.
