It happens that my 8 inch JD male kinda paired off with my 5,5 inch RTM female. They haven't laid eggs or anything yet. Since they are both central american I think they could possibly breed but im not sure if it has already been done. Did you guys ever heard of a successful breeding between RTM and JD ?

I would defo expect you to get a successful batch after a couple of spawings! Make sure you get pictures on here! would love love love to see that combo! Have you got any pictures of the pair? I have found in the past, once you spot that a pair have paired off, it wont be long before they try and breed. So try and avoid any big disturbances for a little while, especially when you see her breeding tube drop, at that point, me personally, would stop the water changes until you have a week old fry or so.

I really think they are a pair, so it would be possible for them to spawn soon but im realising that they probably wont until i take my gt pair out even if they are divided. the JD pays way more attention to the male gt on the other side than his female. It is even worse when the gt's are spawning. I have a couple picture on my phone, ill try to get some newer ones tonight.
