Hey, I was just wondering if I have stuffed up! I was attaching my 3-d background to my 250 litre tank and I used a RTV silicone which stated on the packaging that it could be used for aquariums. But then in the fine print it says only use the clear type because the colored ones use mould inhibitors (I used the black type) should I worry and remove it all? Or is it not problem? :(

Sorry for the double post but I thought I might get more help here

If it says anything to the effect of safe for food contact or something along those lines it should be ok. For something like what your doing though I would just use ge 1 silicone. For building an aquarium I would use one of the recommended Dow silicones 732 ect

I used black RTV years ago in a 300G to coat an undergravel jet system to hide it and more recently to reinstall overflows in a 150G. No issues for me.
