Rubbing alcohol alternative.

I'm currently re-sealing my tank and am having difficulty finding running alchohol locally or online at a decent price. After reading wiki it says things like methylated sprits is the same or very simlilar I was winding what you guys thought and have used ?

Any kind of alcohol will work. "Rubbing" alcohol is the kind commonly sold at drugstores, used for cleaning scrapes, removing makeup, et cetera. I have also used denatured alcohol, which is a more powerful solvent/cleaner, but also a lot smellier.

Im a fan of nail polish remover and use it over alchohol almost exclusively, and as others said any alchohol works, acetone or methyl ethel keytone.
