Rubbing question??

My RD and convicts occasionally rub on there side. The other fish in the tank do not do it. There is no visible sign of anything on them. I was wondering what this could be from?

my cons do this sometimes too in my sand.......i thought it might be ich but couldnt find anything.......even treated them for it.......i guess they just like my sand ............

at first I was thinking it would be ick or other parasite, but maybe they do this like elephants spread dust and dirt on themselfs to give them a bath. Like preventative.

I would keep an eye on them keep checking for signs of sickness aside from the rubbing.

Well I have gravel. They usually rub the bigger rocks in the tank.
