I had a 6 inch marble motoro In a 50 breeder holding tank. The Ray was doing great and eating aggresively but constantly running the front of his disc on the front of the glass. Yesterday i noticed he has actually rubbed down the disc. I moved him to a 75 today and he noted he rubbed even further. Has anyone else experienced this? The tissue is healthy and smoothly rubbed down. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Hrmmm odd. Mine are constantly on the front glass and don't show any signs of "wear"
Mine aswell
Anything sharp in the tank? Any tankmates?

I have to agree that it can't be from normal kinda behaviour going up and down and crashing into the glass with the front end.

What is your water quality like? Only ask as rays have a reputation for healing their discs quickly from knocks, bites and wounds, even mediocre heater burns show signs of regeneration quite quickly.

gotta be the water... a bit of solar salt should help him heal up with w/c's. u have an autodrip set up yet in that fish room? ur fishroom looks alot like mine lol... impossible to keep up without autodrips/autochangers.

I am treating him for disc rot now. There is nothing sharp in his tank. There actually pretty much nothing in the tank. No ammonia, nitrite, and low nitrate.

Wednesday13 I plan on putting in an autodrip but right now the room is really manageable. Honestly not to many tanks are filled at this point and they aren't the biggest tanks so I can really stay on top of them. Plus I have been the most careful with his ironically enough
Though when I get closer to doing he drip I might message you if you don't mind
