i might be getting some for my pond so do you have any advice on keeping these guys

I had Rudd in my old pond what can I tell you well. If you can get hold of them get Golden Rudd as they stand out more than the common Rudd. They are also surface feeders so you do get to see them quite a lot. Also if your pond is of a decent size and the predators are low they breed like rats.

They are a shoaling fish so get a few as they are happier in a shoal.
