Any thoughts on this guy, Ive gotten a skink from what I think is this guys old company, not sure what hes doing now if its the same guy, but my question is this........................what do you think of the snake, I know hes no show piece because of the scars, how bad it will look after some more sheds, and do we think its CB or WC, only because it could be CB and had got those bites from a crapy keepers mistake. Any thoughts, I bet he would be a fun snake to have even though he looks a little rough.http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=6&de=742863

Scars are scars, they generally don't go away..........And it's wild caught, as their really is no incentive to breed cheap African Colubrids..........The market just isn't there..........

looks like it was fed live mice but if e says it is eating then it is probably okay. I would just ask to see if he has wormed it or had it checked out by a vet for parasites.

The ad is currently down but I believe I know which seller and snake you were talking about. I did not click on the thumbnail picture to see the larger view so I did not see the scars.

I keep another species in this same genus and they are great snakes. They are only rarely imported so I do believe there is a future market for captive bred offspring.

If it's the ad I'm thinking of, that's a decent price given the scars. Last winter good quality imports were going for about twice that much.

I should add that this genus of snakes is thought to be very difficult if not impossible to sex with the typical probing methods. If it's the seller I'm thinking of I'm sure he'll be happy to discuss this with you.

Also, they are technically venomous. Do a search on the VenomDoc forums to read more about this.
