So how does guns/firearms create problems. I am a gun owner, and proud of it. I get my kids involved and my employers. Just because some people disagree with things like guns doesn't make them wrong. The lounge says anything non fish related. Why don't you just make this another general fish section then. Since someone will cry about gas using trucks that get talked about or race cars or hats or any other stupid thing criers cry about.

I think it has to do more with the fact that almost every thread about guns results in infractions and usually has to be closed.
The Lounge isn't ANYTHING...there is no discussions of Religion, Drugs, Alcohol, Politics, and now Guns have been added on.
The decision to no longer allow gun discussion was based on the fact that they usually turn political. Some people feel very strongly for them and some feel very strongly against. When those two kind of people meet and start discussing its turns into a political discussion which is not allowed on the site. People get angry then people get offended then we have to deal with it.In the last several months this has created quite a few conflicts, so the staff has decided to no longer allow the discussion. If you love guns, then thats great. If you hate guns, then thats great too. Just please keep it out of the Lounge and off the site.
