Runt fish?

Growing up I had a dog it was the runt of the litter never got as big and full as the other male dogs, do fish do this as well?

I only ask because should be getting our umbees from the animal guy this week and I know my brother is going to keep the biggest male, but as a thing we do I want mine to grow bigger lol if a male umbee is smaller at say 4 months will it grow to its full size given good food, large tank, and good water chem?

I could just buy steroids I guess worst case lol

There are runts but there are also slower growing individuals so you never know

I had a oscar that was like 5 inches after a year n half but I just figured it was due to his tank mates eating more then him
